Utilizing our Design Learning protocol, we implemented back to back 3-D design workshops, one involving high school students and the other one teachers and principals from schools in the Buenos Aires area, at the 3-D design lab that Ricoh has set up at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI)
By means of our Lenovo Learnerspace platform, participants tackled a real-life problem, how to design a collaborative space for small groups working on research and developing a joint project, a typology that is essential for any modern learning environment.
Crowdsourcing learning, generating original research, developing traits of communities of innovation and utilizing 3-D design software, participants worked on the problem at hand and printed their prototypes, as a way to demonstrate how design can be effectively integrated into schools.
